Denys is only 1 year and 8 months old. And he's already had two surgeries on the heart. To fully cure a little boy's heart, he urgently needed an intracardiac implant. Denys was born with multiple defects of the interventricular septum and pulmonary hypertension. In November 2015 the boy had surgery for a narrowing of the pulmonary artery (it imposed a special tape) to protect the lungs from irreversible changes. If this is not done in time, in the future he would have needed a heart and lung transplant. But all went well! Thanks to the braid small defects of the interventricular septum were closed, there was only one: the muscle at the apex of the heart.

In the next stage of treatment, the boy will need to remove the tape and close the defect. Surgeons put it so that it can be removed endovascular, because the longer the tape is on the pulmonary artery, the more it deforms. And to close the defect, which is located at the top of the little heart, he needs an implant. Therefore, the only way in the treatment of Denys is an endovascular or hybrid method. How will this happen? Surgeon through a mini-incision will remove the tape, and then make the puncture on the anterior wall of the heart and under ultrasound guidance will lead the occluder and close the defect. Such operations are very sophisticated and modern. But the occluder parents need to buy their own, and it is by far worth 101 864 UAH.

If this does not hold in time, the right ventricular wall will thicken, and the cavity will be very small. She will not be able to take enough blood, and the boy their heart failure. Additionally, the child begins to turn blue and suffer from oxygen starvation, which will lead to delayed mental and physical development.
