Yurchyk was born healthy. Only a spot on the back alerted doctors, to the parents were advised to observe it. However, after six months the little boy stopped moving his legs. His mom went to a regional hospital and little Yurii was hospitalized to the intensive care with a purulent infection. But the boy’s condition was so grave that he was soon sent to the Institute of Neurosurgery. Complex treatment and surgery can only be performed in Kyiv but the family’s resources are very limited.

Yurchyk’s mom was looking forward to having her little son. The pregnancy proceeded well, childbirth was successful. By all indicators, the boy was healthy. The family was allowed to go home with a recommendation to observe the little spot on the back. In September, little Yurii had a problem with his legs. The parents immediately went to the doctor and then to the regional hospital for an examination. During this time, pus started flowing from the spot. It turned out that there was an infection in the spinal cord. Now Yurchyk is in Kyiv and he needs our help to get the necessary treatment.
