In April 2024, Viktoriia felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. At first, she thought that her gallstone disease had worsened. But the pain did not subside. An ultrasound helped to detect a tumor-like formation, and further examination showed ovarian cancer.

In May, Viktoriia had her right ovary removed, then she underwent five courses of chemotherapy with Carboplatin and Paclitaxel. In August, during the second operation, her uterus and left ovary were removed. After that, there were three more cycles of "chemotherapy".

On July 1, a genetic test revealed a gene mutation that requires long-term use of the drug Lynparza – two years of continuous targeted therapy. This treatment is able to prevent relapse of the disease.

Viktoriia developed anemia, her white blood cell count decreased, and she suffers from numbness in her arms and legs. She also suffers from digestive problems, due to which the woman weighs 40 kg (before the disease, she weighed 68 kg).

Victoria continues to occasionally consult: it is important for her to feel her professionalism and to be able to help someone.

She also reads a lot, especially interested in the history of ancient civilizations – the Mayans, Scythians, and Sarmatians. Before the illness, the woman loved to pick mushrooms and travel the world.

Now the most important thing for Viktoriia is to live. To live for the sake of her family, future patients, and herself. And she asks caring people to respond and help.
