In March, Camilla and her parents went to the doctor for fever and swollen lymph nodes. They feared a viral or bacterial infection, but everything turned out to be much worse. An ultrasound scan and a blood test were performed at the clinic. After him, Camilla was immediately sent to the Regional Children's Hospital of the Dnieper. Here she was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia.

Treatment of leukemia is the alternation of intravenous chemotherapy and recovery after it with a huge amount of supportive drugs, transfusions of blood and its components. Chemotherapy destroys leukemia and at the same time reduces immunity to almost zero. Supportive drugs do not allow "chemistry" to harm internal organs, and infections - to attack the body.

After the first stage of treatment, Kamilochka did not go into remission as the doctors expected. Therefore, she was assigned 6 "shock" high-dose blocks. Now three of them are over. Camilla's liver and kidneys are enlarged, her leukocyte and platelet counts have dropped. The girl receives a blood transfusion. Yesterday my back and joints were very painful, so I had to inject anesthetic. And in the coming days, a commission of doctors in Kiev will decide what to do next: continue high-dose chemotherapy or recommend bone marrow transplantation. Camilla's parents have already passed tests for compatibility with their daughter.

Chemotherapy is provided to Camilla by the department. But only in August, parents spent more than UAH 50,000 on one drug Atenative, which raises the amount of antithrombin. Heptral, Hepa-mertz, Glutargin, saline – all this is also paid by the parents. It is very important to follow the doctors' plan and take all prescribed medications in order to overcome leukemia. But the family cannot cope without your support. Please support our little dancer so that she can return to the stage as soon as possible!
