Only an operation can save Vasyl

Only respiratory failure forced Vasyl to see doctors: he knew that his grandmother did not have money for treatment. Vasyl will soon become a welder and probably feels completely grown up and independent. Now his life is threatened by scoliosis.

The circumstances were such that Vasia, his two sisters and brother were brought up by their grandmother. The father passed away 12 years ago, the mother is deprived of parental rights. Vasia is a kind, sensitive guy, always ready to help. Before his illness, he liked to play tennis and football, but now any physical activity is contraindicated for him.

A slight curvature of the spine was noticed by Oksana, his father's sister, when Vasia came to visit her in Odesa region at the age of 11. A year later, the situation worsened, but the boy refused to go to the doctor, realizing that his grandmother did not have money for his treatment.

And only 6 months ago, Oksana finally managed to persuade her nephew to consult a doctor, when he already felt severe pain in his heart and was suffocating from the compression of his lungs. The Odesa and Vinnytsia hospitals could not help him and sent him to Kyiv to the "International Center for Neurosurgery".

Based on the MRI results, the neurosurgeon diagnosed extreme idiopathic adolescent scoliosis, which is rapidly progressing, and recommended urgent surgery in the next 3 months, otherwise the complications could be catastrophic - failure of internal organs.

As part of this project, we want to raise part of the necessary amount to partially pay the bill from the clinic.

As soon as the full amount is raised, Vasyl will undergo surgery at the Kyiv Center. The operation will be very difficult, lasting at least 10 hours. This amount includes the cost of metal structures, as well as the pre- and post-operative period of stay at the Center.

Friends, only together can we eliminate the threat to the boy's life, help Vasyl straighten his back and breathe freely!
