17-year-old Vladyslav is passionate about sport, loves cycling with friends, and adores his pet cat. Due to his health condition, Vladyslav is forced to study by correspondence – for eight years now he has been living with a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes (insulin-dependent). His illness does not allow him to live the full life of an ordinary teenager. Every day Vladyslav must strictly monitor his diet, administer insulin injections, and prick his fingers an average of up to 10 times a day to check his blood sugar, as sharp fluctuations in glucose are dangerous to his health.
Continuous glucose monitoring sensors offer the ability to track readings around the clock without constant pain and finger pricks. They help detect dangerous changes in time, avoid serious complications, and provide the chance for a more peaceful life. For Vladyslav, continuous monitoring is a vital source of support and safety.
Vladyslav lives with his mother and younger brother. Unfortunately, his mother does not have the financial means to provide expensive continuous monitoring sensors on her own, as diabetes treatment requires ongoing and significant costs.
We can support Vladyslav and help him receive the sensors he needs. Every contribution is not just an act of help – it is a chance for this young man to live more peacefully, more safely, and without complications in the future.
