Dmytrii Gunchenko is from Zhitomir. This cheerful, mischievous and incredibly sociable boy of four and a half years old. In late August last year, the child complained of pain in the legs. Moreover, the pains were such that he could not get out of bed and were accompanied by high fever. And after a while, there was a pain in the neck. The parents turned to the surgeons and the doctors put to the child a diagnosis arthritis. Have appointed treatment which has appeared inefficient. Dima was examined by other specialists: the kid could no longer turn his head, such was the pain.

And only when Dima was examined on CT, MRI and oncological tests – only then was a diagnosis of neuroblastoma of 4 st with metastases in the lymph node and bone marrow. The boy has a long treatment, an operation, and a long rehabilitation.

Behind 8 blocks of chemotherapy, which Dima passed in the Zhytomyr Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. The tumor responded to treatment and decreased by 70%, the metastases were gone. Despite his young age, Dima is a creative boy. Now he is in love with the characters of the cartoon "Paw Patrol" and collects everything that is connected with this: stickers, decorations, figurines of dogs. In the hospital, the boy enjoys attending art therapy classes: he paints and modeling. And, of course, because of the strength, he endures the painful medical procedures.

Dima's parents do not give up, they are fighting for the life of their son. But for the treatment of their boy, money is needed, which parents simply do not already have. The financial situation of this family is very complex: one father works, who tries to support his son as soon as he can. And the mother and Dima are in the hospital all the time. To continue treatment Dmytrii needed the following medicaments: Adryblastin (50 mg) – 1 vial, Uromitexan (400 mg) – 18 ampoules and Holoksan (1 g) – 5 vials for a total of 9 016 UAH.
