Save Nikita's life! 2

In January, Nikita Bondarenko turned 4 years old. This kid since September last year struggles with a serious insidious disease. Nikita has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, 1 acute period. It all began at the end of the last summer. Nikita was ill with a cold. After the illness, lymph nodes on his neck sharply increased. The blood test revealed nothing. During the month the mother went with the son to the doctors, and inflamed lymph nodes were treated with antibiotics.

The boy was getting worse. And only in an infectious disease hospital, after another blood test, doctors discovered acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Nikita was referred for treatment to the hematology department of Dnepropetrovsk Regional Children's Hospital.

The child goes through a difficult path to recovery: the resuscitation after the triple "chemistry" at the beginning of treatment is already behind and low blood counts, lack of appetite, and blood transfusion are over. There is also a positive moment of treatment: on 15th day Nikita went into remission, which means that the disease is treatable and there is every chance of recovery!

Now Nikita finished the treatment according to the second protocol. Passed more than half way treatment. A third protocol awaits the boy it is the heaviest! Treatment of leukemia is a difficult test, especially for a child. Strongly acting chemotherapy drugs kill not only cancer but the immunity of the patient. The patient's body needs to be supported by a variety of additional medicines. At the end of the second protocol, Nikita has very low blood counts: leukocytes, platelets, hemoglobin. To bring them back to normal, need of stimulation by medicaments. For this, the baby needs a colony-stimulating Neupogen preparation in an amount of 5 pieces for the amount of 7,825 UAH.

Mother of the boy can not cope alone with the treatment of her son. She has to ask for help. The help of friends and relatives is not enough. Nikita has a brother Nazar, they are twins. Thanks to the support of the UBB donors, the boy was already given drugs once, thanks to which he was able to continue treatment in time (previous project). Today he needs our help and support again!
