11-year-old Karolina has been ill since early childhood. At 7 months she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, secondary microcephaly, all types of developmental delays, bulbar syndrome, symptomatic epilepsy, and cognitive impairment syndrome. From that moment her fight for a healthy childhood began – a fight filled with seizures, loss of consciousness, medications, and rehabilitation. And that fight continues to this day.
A systematic approach to treatment gradually began to bear fruit: she started sleeping better, producing new sounds, and later – holding her head up and attempting to sit, while her muscle tone gradually decreased, showing positive progress.
However, in 2019 Karolina suffered a hip dislocation and underwent 2 surgeries. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to preserve the proper functioning of her muscles and joints. At present, only rehabilitation can improve the girl's condition.
"With each new day, Karolinka is getting better and better at standing. It is no longer as frightening or as painful for her to do so. After her sessions, our daughter has become more relaxed and calm. She is already producing new sounds and working with her hands. We thank you with all our hearts for your support of Karolina," says the girl's mother.
We are overjoyed by these results and ask you to support Karolina on her path of rehabilitation and treatment. Together we can help her access a new rehabilitation course and win her greatest fight.
