Victoria is only 18 years old. She dreams of studying, building her future, working, traveling and simply living like her peers. However, every day she has to fight not only for her dreams, but also for her own health.
For nine years, the girl has been living with type 1 diabetes. This diagnosis completely changed her life and made her grow up much earlier than she should have. Her life depends on constant monitoring of glucose levels every day, because the pancreas does not produce insulin at all in her disease. For most people, glucose values are ordinary numbers, but for Vika they are a matter of life and health.
Every day is continuous monitoring, calculating insulin, measuring sugar, fear of sharp jumps in glucose. The slightest mistake or late reaction can lead to a dangerous condition that threatens a coma and intensive care. Diabetes knows no weekends, holidays or vacations - it is with the girl around the clock.
To live safely, she needs a continuous glucose monitoring system and consumables for it. It is she who helps to notice dangerous changes in sugar levels in time, prevent serious complications and live at least a little without constant fear. Unfortunately, such systems and consumables are very expensive. For Victoria and her family, the regular purchase of such devices has become an extremely heavy financial burden. But without them, the risk to the young girl's life increases significantly.
Victoria appeals to all those who care for her with a request for help. Each of your contributions is not just support. It is an opportunity to live safer, avoid dangerous complications and look to the future more confidently.
We sincerely thank everyone who will not remain on the sidelines. Your help is a chance for a calmer life and faith that even in the most difficult moments there are people with kind hearts nearby.
