Food for the poorest. 12

Old, sick, infirm and lonely… They are the wards of the Charitable Canteen, which has been operating at our Charitable Foundation for several years. These people come to the canteen every day to get food they can't count on elsewhere. They know that a hot dinner and a good word of support are waiting for them in the Charity Dining Room every day, under any circumstances.  

As it is now – when the epidemic and the quarantine connected with it destroyed the usual way of life of all people, changed all plans, made the adjustments in all spheres of life... However, we continue to try to support such patients and the elderly so that they do not die during this already difficult period. We are currently gradually resuming the reception in our canteens, but most of them are still visited at home, where our volunteers bring hot lunches and food to these disadvantaged people, who, unfortunately, are unable to take care of themselves due to physical, mental, illness or the same weak old age, which does not allow to go beyond the threshold of his own home, and even get out of bed.

Most of the meager pension that these people receive as an old-age or disability pension is barely enough for the most essential medicines they need every day. What is left is barely enough for bread and some of the cheapest products for just a few days… These people cannot survive without outside help. It is thanks to the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, and all of you – those who care about such stories, that we are able to raise funds to purchase food for such wards.
And today we are also asking for help in raising funds to buy the essentials for cooking for about thirty old single grandparents who have no one else to take care of, because they either do not have children or close relatives, or they refused to take care of frail parents or relatives and sick abandoned people who are almost constantly, lonely and isolated, in four walls.

The funds raised in the amount of UAH 20,000 should be enough to buy products for such people for a month and a half, we are also constantly looking for other sources of funding to support the lonely, the elderly and the sick, and we look forward to your support in this noble cause of charity.
