Food for the elderly. 2

Since the fundraising was completed on February 22, and on February 24, the Russian Federation began full-scale military operations against Ukraine, thanks to the completed fundraiser for the Food for the Elderly.2 project, we purchased sets of long-term storage products and drinking water and give them to people from among the most socially unprotected who were in shelters in the zone of active shelling. In those days, Kharkiv was in a very difficult situation, the enemy troops almost broke through the defenses of the city, all shops and supermarkets were closed, people were hiding in basements, subways and bomb shelters, so the help with food and drinking water was needed more than ever.

In total, 50 full-fledged sets were purchased for this amount at the rate of 1 set per family. Each set includes: 2-3 bottles of water, 2 canned meats, 2 packs of pasta, 2 packs of rice, 2 packs of buckwheat, a pack of tea, 2 packs of biscuits and 1 pack of waffles.

All kits were issued on March 3, 2022 at shelters located in one of the residential areas of the city of Kharkiv. The extradition was carried out between air raid alerts in compliance with all safety recommendations for volunteers and people.

The help received at this, perhaps, the most difficult moment for Kharkiv, allowed people to hold out until our troops pushed the invaders away from the city. All the people who received food and drinking water in those days express their sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and to all those who care who joined the fundraising!
