Oleksii began his battle with diabetes more than three years ago. In a matter of days, he went from being a lively and energetic boy to a lethargic and sick child who was not interested in anything. His mother immediately took him to the doctors. The diagnosis – type 1 diabetes – radically changed the family's life.

Before his illness, Oleksii was seriously involved in soccer. Of course, it would seem that under the new circumstances, he should not count on a sports career, but he does not give up and continues to do what he loves. Last year, he enrolled in the Regional Sports Lyceum in Kostopil in the soccer department, and now he has moved on to the 10th grade there. Oleksii has many friends and sporting successes.

However, these life-saving devices are far from cheap, especially for Oleksii's family. All financial support for the family rests on the shoulders of his stepfather, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His mother does not work because she takes care of his younger sister. Therefore, the family is turning to caring people for help.
