Recently we’ve told you about Nazarii at UBB. About his love for football and his dreams of a professional career. And in an instant, his life gave him a red card: pain in the leg, the orthopedist’s suspicions, the confirmation of the diagnosis at the Cancer Institute. The boy needed a donor's bone and together we managed to help him. Unfortunately, it turned out that this was not enough.

Nazarii has the second stage of the disease, without metastases. The surgeons have to replace the affected bone with the donor one. Such amputation-rescuing operations are now performed successfully at the Cancer Institute. What is also important is that, unlike the prosthesis, such bones engraft and grow with the child’s body.

We have already ordered this donor bone for Nazarii. However, during the last examination and planning of the surgery, the surgeons concluded that a special metal structure was required to secure the bone to allow the implant to stand properly. But its price is almost one hundred thousand UAH!

The boy is now prescribed with additional chemotherapy to reduce the risk of recurrence while he is waiting for the bone and the surgery. He is waiting for everything that will save his leg. Only we can help Nazarii not lose valuable time and score a dream goal of his life!
