Zakhar is going to the first grade

Last year was the most difficult year of his life for 6-year-old Zakhar. It was hard to recognize Zakhar, who used to be active and playful, as he was hardly recognizable. The boy became lethargic, sleepy, and constantly lost attention. After going to the doctors, Zakhar had a blood glucose test done. Unfortunately, the results were quite disappointing, and the child and his mother were rushed to the hospital. For several hours under the drips, Zakhar's blood sugar level did not change significantly, so doctors were forced to inject him with insulin. Thus, the boy was diagnosed with severe type 1 diabetes. It was the worst possible diagnosis in his case.

Today Zakhar is coping well with his new life. His initial fear of the disease has left him. Thanks to modern medicines and equipment, the life of a child with diabetes has become easier than before. Zakhar is a very caring and kind boy. He is doing well in his studies at the preschool, but this year he had to miss a lot of classes.

Now Zakharchik continues his active life and is going to his first grade. He has a whole summer ahead of him. His first summer with diabetes, which he is trying to spend fun and enjoy.

Zakhar's family was forced to leave Luhansk Oblast back in 2014. Now they live in a village in the Kyiv region. The boy's father works at a cable factory, and the family has a grandmother. The family's financial situation does not allow them to constantly use modern methods of controlling and treating diabetes in their child.
