At just 8 months old, David already needs a complex surgery that will help him grow and develop healthily.
He can already sit on his own, crawl, pull himself up to stand, and is even taking his first steps. David loves playing with toy cars, watching his pet cat, Bodya, and smiling at everyone he meets during walks. But from the very first days of his life, his family has been fighting for his health.
Because of neonatal sepsis, David spent nearly three weeks in the hospital. Despite this difficult start and doctors' concerns that his development might be delayed, he has shown incredible strength. Today, he is developing well for his age and eagerly explores the world around him.
However, another major challenge lies ahead. David has been diagnosed with scaphocephaly, a form of craniosynostosis in which the bones of the skull fuse too early. As a result, his brain does not have enough space to grow and develop properly. Without timely surgery, the condition may affect his development, vision, hearing, and lead to other serious complications.
To prevent this, David needs surgery to implant special cranial plates. The cost of the surgical implants is UAH 269,497.
David's parents have already paid for all the necessary medical examinations and preoperative care themselves. The family's savings were exhausted during his first month of life while doctors fought to save his health. Today, his mother stays home to care for him and is unable to work, while his father works as a laborer and holds the status of a combat veteran. Like any parents, they dream of seeing their son grow up healthy and happy. Unfortunately, covering the cost of the surgery on their own is beyond their means.
Please support David. Together, we can help this smiling little boy receive the treatment he urgently needs and give him the opportunity to grow up healthy and enjoy a happy childhood.
