Healthy legs for Veronika. Stage 2

In her age of seven years old, our little princess has had seven surgeries and she keeps on fighting her disease, hoping that one day she will walk by herself. The girl is active, smart, intellectual, she studies well at school, learns to play piano, learns english, she is very communicative, has many friends, but every morning she gets up with a dream: run to school by herself, dance with the father, walk out her dog in the park - do everything that a usual child does every day. We can help Veronika become that usual child, that can walk with her healthy legs!

Veronika was born from the fifth pregnancy, through cesarean section with a weight of 3 040 grams. The girl was examined spinal hernia when still in mother's womb. To a great pity the hernia started to leak at birth, the liquorrhea occured and an urgent surgery was a must. As a result of postoperative complications hydrocephalus developed, the progression of which, fortunately, had been stopped. Veronica suffered another 3 operations for the reconstruction of bilateral dysplasia.

But that's not all. Veronica developed chronic pyelonephritis, she underwent surgery on the kidney and had stones removed from the bladder. As the girl grows and develops as a normal child, the usual growth spurt caused the fixation of the spinal cord, which could lead to total paralysis of the lower limbs without the possibility of recovery.

This required urgent surgery, which has left the child a chance to go in the future. The operation was very difficult, carried out in Turkey, in the world famous clinic "Acibadem", the surgery was made possible thanks to the first fundraising for Veronika and thanks to your kind hearts! After the surgery, the girl had intensive neurophysiological rehabilitation in rehabilitation centers of Ukraine, after which there had been improvement, but she still can not walk. Only the passage of rehabilitations plying several times a year will help improve the condition of the girl, and this improvement to fix that in the future will give her a chance to walk in their own feet.
