Waiting for their child to be born, Veronika's parents imagined everything differently: dances in the kindergarten or figure skating. The child was so awaited. And then, finally, they met. At girl's birth, the doctors announced a diagnosis – Spina Bifida – spinal hernia. On her very first birthday she had surgery because the hernia leaked. As a consequence, if the diagnosis, hydrocephalus developed, but the intensive work of the parents did the job – hydrocephalus was compensated.

At the Institute of Urology, the baby's kidney was saved – it represented a bag of pus. Veronica was operated at five years old, she was put on a tube to unlock the kidney. To this day the girl has to control tests and therapeutic prophylaxis. Veronichka suffered seven major surgeries. She began to make her first steps in the apparatus but seems like the evil rock is haunting her. Fast growth caused a fixation in the spinal cord. Adjibadem Clinic in Turkey agreed to help the girl and undertook such a difficult surgery to remove the fixation in the spinal cord.

Rehabilitation centers abroad and in our country give a chance for the fulfillment of the girl's main dream – to stand on her legs and make the first short steps independently. A ten-year-old girl in a wheelchair enjoys playing with children and at the same time makes serious plans for the future. Veronika is in the fourth grade and loves the school, where she has lots of friends, she also studies Piano, learns English. Even at school, she tries to get up on her feet, supporting herself at her desk, so that all her friends would see – she can and she will walk.

Passing rehabilitation courses, Veronichka becomes more active, more confident and tries to take her first steps. Internal efforts, the goal and her desire to defeat the disease! And we can help raise funds for a new course of treatment for this strong girl.
