Olena is a baker by profession, a dough shaper, she brings up a minor son. Her husband left the family ten years ago when his son was four years old. Since then, Olena had to work hard to provide the family with everything they needed. But in 2017, she became seriously ill – she was diagnosed with a lung abscess. In addition, there was a lung disease recurrence – there was periodical pulmonary hemorrhage when coughing that was accompanied by sputum having a bad smell. After the lung CT, blood tests, sputum sowing, lung abscess and fungal pneumonia that is difficult to treat, were diagnosed again. In April 2019, Olena's pulmonary hemorrhage became very frequent and severe 3-5 times a day, they could be stopped with difficulty, the pressure was rising 240/190 and she had to call an ambulance.

In order not to stay for the rest of her life as a person with disabilities and have the opportunity to raise her son, Olena needed a complex treatment – surgery for prosthetics of the femoral neck, and treatment of fungal pneumonia and lung abscess.
