To live without surgeries

More than 40 surgeries in four years of life! Such a number is shocking even for skeptics. Little Snizhana has hydrocephalus from birth. Only now the girl is hospitalized at the Institute of Neurosurgery, and before that, she was treated in local hospitals. She is undergoing expensive treatment and one more surgery is planned to solve the problem once and for all. But the family that has been providing treatment for the daughter for years has no more money for it.

The twins, Snizhana and Diana, were born prematurely. It was unexpected because the mother just returned from the doctor who assured her that everything was fine. Immediately after birth Snizhana had a hemorrhage and hydrocephalus developed. Since then, the girl actually lives in hospitals. She had a shunt system installed and then removed, drainages were installed, inflammations were treated, spikes were operated on – and the family had to pay for everything because a provision in medical institutions is scanty.

Only then Snizhana was sent to the Institute of Neurosurgery. Every day the child needs drugs for more than 1 000 UAH and her family cannot afford them. The parents ask to help save their little daughter.
