Angelina is ten years old, and she dreams of a future full of colors, music, and joy. She loves to draw and dance, and even on the hardest days, when her strength leaves her body, she picks up a brush or stands in front of the mirror to perform her favorite dance.
But Angelina's life is not as bright as her drawings – for more than five years, the girl has been living with diabetes. She is the second child in a large family with this diagnosis: she has long known what diabetes is and sees how her mother and sister fearlessly overcome all challenges. But that doesn't make it any easier.
The worst thing for the girl is injections. She is terrified of punctures and the sight of blood. But she knows: if she doesn't give an injection or check her sugar level, it can get even worse. Therefore, every time she pulls herself together, takes a deep breath, and endures.
But Angelina doesn't want to be remembered only as a girl with an illness. She wants to be remembered as an artist, a dancer, a strong person. But to continue to overcome her illness, her phenomenal strength is not enough – diabetes takes a toll on the family's finances almost as much as it does on their health. The family spends huge sums on medications, devices for measuring sugar levels, proper nutrition and prevention. Give the girl a chance to continue drawing worlds that others cannot see, and to dance as if there were no limitations.
