Artem’s life is in our hands!

Two-year old Artem greets everyone with a really genuine smile, says hello.Unusually forward child, he shows us where the drop-counter is and how to make an injection. These are the skills he developed during his short life. His pretty mother quietly wipes tears and dreamily tells her son, that when the spring comes they would go to the park to feed birds, that soon they would forget about the injections and tasteless pills. And Artemchyk starts comforting his mom in a sreious and manly manner.

Artem was a wanted and expected child in the family of a young couple Yulia and Volodymyr. Hes was an active and wondrewful baby-boy. On the 2014 New Year’s Eve he had a fever, that couldn’t be subdued. The doctors assumed that teething could be the reason behind it, however, the fever persisted and blood samples were critical. When they started diagnosing the baby, they found the tumor in the liver area. The treatment started in accordance with the procedure. However, the last examination showed that the tumor is very aggressive and produced metastasis into the skull bones. Additional chemical substances, like temozolomide, are required. Unfortunately, our children’s department receives this medicine only in capsules, whereas the boy needs a substance for infusions. Little Artemchyk cannot swallow the capsule and burns and sores appear on the mouth mucosal.

The parents have bought the medicine for the first two courses, but this drained all their resources. One course costs over 40 thousand UAH. The family does not have that kind of money. Therefore, the parents ask for help in curing their cherished baby-boy Artemchyk!
