Ten-year-old Danyil is a bright, friendly boy who loves to laugh, dream, and play with his friends. But his childhood is very different from that of his peers: three years ago, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, a disease that forces him to fight for his life every day.
Every day for Danyil means numerous insulin injections, a strict diet without his favorite treats, and constant monitoring of his blood sugar levels. He is forced to live by rules that limit his childhood joys, and each new day brings with it danger.
Danyil's mother is raising him on her own. She does not work so that she can be with her son at any moment to help and support him. Because of his illness, Danyil is homeschooled—his world is limited, and communication with his peers has become rare. Every year, he undergoes examination and treatment at a health center to maintain his condition and prevent complications.
However, there is hope. Modern continuous glucose monitors give Danyil a chance to live more safely by tracking his condition in real time and preventing dangerous situations. This technology can give him a childhood as close to normal as possible and a chance for a future where he can just be a kid.
But the monthly cost of such equipment is extremely high for their small family, and his mother cannot cover it on her own. Help Danyil fill his childhood with joy, games with friends, and exploring this big world, rather than constant pain, control, and fear.
