Life without immunity: Mikhailyk needed drugs. 3

Misha Nikolayenko was born with a very rare disease - granulomatosis. With this disease, the child’s immunity is practically zero and there is practically no resistance to infections. The life of a child with this disease is accompanied by huge doses of antibiotics, antifungal, and antibacterial drugs. In August, Misha and his mother went to the Kyiv City Children's Center for Clinical Immunology, where he is seen by specialists. There he passed tests for myopathy and with his mother they are waiting for the result. In October, Mishutka fell ill again. 

The mother found an enlarged lymph node on her son’s neck and they immediately went to the hospital. "Two weeks we have been dripping," says Dasha, the mother of the child. "Everything seems to have passed. Then we went home and after 2 weeks returned again to the hospital, but already for surgery, since the lymph node had to be opened!". The operation was performed under local anesthesia. Misha, as befits a boy, was doing great! Then he just didn’t want to go to dressings, as he didn’t like the patch. Now he is already at home, taking prescribed medications.

Misha, like all boys of his age, loves cars. He does not go anywhere without them. It is imperative for him that the machine is in the hand. And now, Misha not walked on the street yet, he is learning to play the guitar at home. And he likes to draw on an easel. And in the evenings, he and his dad arrange toy races and fight board games with moves and chips.

Misha’s parents try to cope with their son’s treatment on their own. But now Misha is prescribed the antifungal medicament Orungal, 4 bottles of which cost 12 355 UAH. But the budget of the family is not enough for this expensive drug. The boy is well known to UBB donors, because thanks to the support of caring people, Misha received the necessary medicines twice. Parents of the child are sincerely grateful to everyone for their support. Now the boy needs our help again!
