A life without daily pain

Until recently, Volodymyr was a healthy and cheerful schoolboy, but in winter his condition changed dramatically: he developed severe thirst, frequent trips to the toilet, and rapid weight loss. In the mornings, the boy often had stomachaches, he was lethargic and sad, and during school breaks he no longer played with his friends, but simply sat at his desk.
After an examination at the clinic, the doctors referred the family to the hospital, where they received a difficult diagnosis: diabetes mellitus. The boy spent two weeks in the hospital and then returned home. The first few months were very difficult: Volodymyr refused to take insulin injections and measure his blood sugar levels, so his family had to persuade and support him. Over time, the child began to gain weight and returned to school, where the teacher explained the situation to his classmates, and they accepted their friend with understanding and support.
Today, Volodymyr gives himself injections, but he really dislikes measuring his glucose levels because of the pain in his fingers. That is why the family dreams of installing a continuous glucose monitoring sensor, as it allows them to control his sugar levels without constant pricks.
Unfortunately, the family cannot afford to buy it on their own, so they are asking for help. Children with this diagnosis are in great need of support, as the sensor makes their lives much easier and allows them to control their disease without daily pain.
