Vova is a kind and sincere boy who loves playing football and is passionate about fishing. He has friends who always support him, as they know about his illness – the boy has been living with diabetes for over 4 years.
Immediately after the diagnosis, after leaving hospital, it was very difficult for Vova to get used to the new rules of life. But in time, with the support of his family, he learned to inject insulin and measure his blood sugar. At school, teachers, parents, and classmates also found words of support and responded with understanding.
It was hard for the family to accept the illness, but the understanding that living by the rules of diabetes is the only way forward gave them the strength to learn to fight, to monitor their child's condition every day, and to do everything possible for his healthy and happy future.
At one point, his mother found a way to purchase continuous glucose monitoring sensors for Volodia. From the moment he started using them, his vision and overall wellbeing improved. Thanks to the devices, his average blood sugar levels were brought to normal within just three months. With the sensor, the boy is better protected both day and night, and his mother has peace of mind about him.
Unfortunately, the family does not have the means to purchase sensors on an ongoing basis, and is therefore reaching out for help. Together we can give Volodia more safety, more peace of mind, and a life without pain.
Every contribution is help in preserving Vova's health and tremendous support for the mother who fights for her son every day.
