Children's Lives in Danger

Health is the most precious thing a person has. But unfortunately, nowadays little children fall ill oftener than elderly people. And while the parents wrestle with the problem where they could find money for expensive medication and procedures, old equipment in hospitals breaks down. The Oncohematology Department of Ivano-Frankovsk Regional Children's Hospital has recently been left without their syringe pump, and new pumps are required as soon as possible.

Syringes of any capacity from 10 to 50 ml and from any manufacturer can be installed in the pump, and it will supply the medication smoothly into the system with the specified speed. The speed is specified by the doctor and can be from 0.1 to 500 ml/hour. The pump controls total volume of the medication supplied to the system, notifies when the catheter is thrombosed, and sends signals when it's time to replace the syringe or prepare a new one. As it is a life-support system, the pump has an autonomous accumulator capable of 8 to 10 hours of work.

Such equipment is especially necessary for small patients undergoung chemotherapy. It will ensure high precision of chemtherapeutic agents administration, and this is an important stage of treatment.
As of today, the Oncohematology Department requires at least four DSh-8 syringe pumps. One such pump was bought for the department by the "Ty Anhel" Charitable foundation. To buy three more pumps, we need your assistance. A single pump costs 9.990.00 UAH.
