Life for dad!

A trouble occurred in the Antonovs' family - the father of two little girls needs our help. Here is Irina Antonova's appeal to the not indifferent people: "All that has happened to my husband Lavrik is very difficult to describe with words. It always seems that it can't be like that and it is something distant and that it can't happen to us. On July 01, 2017 my husband broke his neck and seriously injured his spinal cord, having unsuccessfully jumped into the pool. This trauma paralyzed almost all his body, only arms, hands and head move. Fingers, back, and legs are immobilized! As doctors say, "very few people survive after such injuries, you were lucky".

In Odessa City Hospital No. 11, where we were taken by the ambulance, a difficult and long surgery on the removal of the injured 5th cervical vertebra was performed and the titanic implant was put on its place. Thanks to this surgery the neck began to move. However, the body, legs, and partially hands remain immobilized, he simply doesn't feel them! The most difficult, long and expensive rehabilitation is necessary for him to move again! Having visited a great number of doctors, private and state clinics and centers in Odessa, it became clear that there is no necessary equipment and experts for further treatment and recovery of my husband in our city since I was refused everywhere. Only several private centers in Ukraine carry out such difficult rehabilitation. We referred to one of them – to “Nodus” and were taken for treatment there.

For the results of rehabilitation to be visible, it is necessary to spend at least 6 months in a clinic. For the first month, the clinic has made out a bill for 162,000 UAH. Thanks to our friends, relatives, and acquaintances we managed to pay this bill, but we still need money, at least for 5 months of rehabilitation. Therefore, I Strongly ask you for help! He is the only man in the family, he has two little daughters, who need a healthy father! I will be really grateful for any help!".

Treatment and rehabilitation after such serious spine injuries demand huge material inputs and test the injured person and his relatives for durability. We believe that with your help Lavrentiy will win and will be able to bring up and protect his family.
