Mykyta is an interesting and versatile boy. He was born a healthy child. He grew and developed like all children. But one day the Barabash family suffered a double misfortune... Mykyta's father fell ill with kidney cancer, stage 4, inoperable. And against the background of the general family stress, Mykyta began to get sick. At first, his mother could not understand what was happening to her son. When she took the boy to the doctors, they diagnosed Mykyta with type 1 diabetes, severe form. At the time, it seemed very scary. His mother cried the first day in the hospital, but on the second day she pulled herself together and realized that life does not end there. Other children somehow live with this disease, and so will Nikita.

Nikita has always tried to support his mother. He is a very responsible boy. No matter how hard it was for him to look at other children eating sweets, the boy held back and endured. Instead of health, God gave Mykyta many talents: the boy draws well, plays the violin. He finds it easy to study at school, Mykyta goes to church and serves as an altar boy. He communicates well with his peers and makes friends easily.

Now his mother recalls the beginning of Mykyta's illness and realizes that she did the right thing, that she did not give up. And she tells all other parents that life does not end with this diagnosis, but only begins a new stage. You can get used to living with diabetes and achieve success in different areas and spheres.

The family spends a lot of money on Mykyta's dietary food, because these products are much more expensive. His mother does not work because she has to look after her son all the time. He doesn't always feel the sugar spikes himself. Sometimes Mykyta has such hypoglycemia that he doesn't realize where he is and can't see anyone. Doctors advise using sugar sensors for such children, because it is not always possible to catch sharp jumps with a glucometer.

Mykyta dreams of getting better, but everyone understands that today it is still impossible. The only way to make his life easier is to use modern medical devices. So please join in!
