Life’s small part

Karina’s successful surgery depends on a small part. In a week the girl needs to have an endoprosthesis inserted – an implant that will substitute the affected bone. The prosthesis is available at the National Cancer Institute. However, there is no special screw to attach it to the bone. This screw is individual and not included in the standard set. The cost of the part is more than 35 000 UAH. 

The girl has been on treatment for seven months. The family has run out of money. If the time for saving the leg is lost, this can lead to an amputation. That’s why Karina’s life is now like a puzzle the part of which is missing. And there will be no good picture without it.
