At 4.5 years old, Roma had a large part of his small intestine removed, leaving only 12 cm. He receives his main nutrition intravenously, supplementing his diet with a special mixture of Nutrizon and regular food. Parenteral solutions, special food, medicines and consumables are expensive for the family, and it is an unbearable amount.

Roma's digestive problems started at birth, and treatment brought only temporary improvement. In the summer of 2015, his well-being deteriorated sharply; Roma was admitted to the intensive care unit with severe pain. There, the child was operated on, removing most of the small intestine, which is responsible for absorbing nutrients.

For 9 years now, Roman has been receiving his main nutrition parenterally, that is, through a port installed in the subclavian vein. The specialist connects a Huber needle to the port, secures it with a special adhesive patch and injects mixtures of fats and other nutrients through the system. It costs 30,430 UAH per month.

Roma also receives Ringer's solution and Sterofundin (electrolyte solution) intravenously using the usual infusion sets. It costs 3,330 UAH per month.

Special nutrition Nutrizon costs 2,310 UAH per month.

Roma takes Creon, Heptral, Ukrliv, Alfa Normix and Enterogermina, vitamins and minerals to support the digestive system and the body in general. This is another 7,530 UAH.

Roman successfully finished the 7th grade. Now he has more time to play football with his younger brother Gordii and go fishing. He maintains his health with the help of workout.

The family is once again forced to turn to caring people for support in collecting money to provide the child with special food, medicines and supplies for 4 months. Please lend a helping hand to Roma!
