Cheerful girl struggling with congenital ailments

Svitlanka is a happy and energetic girl, but a heavy illness, cerebral palsy, does not allow her the opportunity to fully develop and enjoy life. She’s only 4 years old and she’s already gone through many rehabiliatation courses in various health institutions in Ukraine.

Despite all this, Svitlana attempts to be like her peers and, in everything, tries to be like her twin sister. At home, her parents, older brother and sister strive in all ways to support her and help her to develop. But this is not enough. Svitlana needs treatment in an international clinic in Truskavets. Thanks to your assistance, Svitlana has already gone through two rehab courses in 2016 and has moved forward significantly. She was able to sit on her own, stand for a few seconds, her vocabulary has improved, she’s gained a great desire to walk (with assistance).

Most importantly, no matter how difficult and painful it is for her, she is always sharing a smile and, like a true warrior, presses on to her goals – the dream of walking and living a full fledged life. It is unfortunate that health is measured in monetary digits and for this family of four (two sets of twins), are sorely lacking. This is why Svitlana’s parents, Natalia and Sergiy Melniki are forced to ask for help.

They are appealing to caring people who may be willing to sacrifice their smallest kopeck (coin), since every little bit of help is a great chance for rehabilitation. Svitlana’s parents would be very grateful to all of you who respond with the desire to help to provide for their little life-loving child a careless and happy childhood.
