Life Strength for Veronika

A year and a half ago, ten-year-old Nika weighed 11.5 kg. Now her weight has reached 17 kg. Veronica has a congenital brain defect. The girl breathes through a tracheostomy and is fed through a tube – without this, she cannot live.
In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity operator Pomagaem Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 344 dated 18 December 2025, the project ‘Life Forces for Veronika’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Veronika Fomina.
On 7 January 2026, thanks to the donors of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange who closed Veronika's fundraiser, we received UAH 73,697.00 (seventy-three thousand six hundred and ninety-seven hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's current account to pay for the child's treatment and project administration. 
Thanks to the funds received, in January of this year, we purchased and delivered medicines and special food for the girl for a total amount of 9,361.00 UAH (nine thousand three hundred and sixty-one hryvnias, 00 kopecks). 
Veronika's condition is stable, with no significant changes. She continues to take the necessary medications, which, judging by the tests, are helping her – the results are encouraging. Next week, the family plans to have an ultrasound of her heart for a more detailed diagnosis and then consult a cardiologist.  
Despite the difficulties with power outages, which create certain inconveniences due to the electric stove, her parents are trying to keep the situation under control. Veronica is calm, and there is great hope for further improvement.
We plan to use the remaining funds in the amount of 64,336.00 UAH (sixty-four thousand three hundred and thirty-six hryvnias, 00 kopecks) for Veronika's needs in 2026.
