Reduce risks to Svyatoslav's life

       Svyatoslav was diagnosed with diabetes at age 10. At first, he experienced nausea and weakness, and he lost a lot of weight. When his glucose level rose to 11 mmol/L—compared to a normal range of up to 5—it became clear that he had diabetes, just like his father. His family’s suspicions were confirmed at the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. From that moment on, the boy’s life changed dramatically.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation “POMAGAYEM,” dated August 31, 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. No. 331 dated August 18, 2025, the project “Reduce the Risks to Svyatoslav’s Life” was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of Svyatoslav Piskunov’s treatment.
During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use a portion of the funds raised on the website of the Charitable Organization “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” (dobro.ua) to purchase sensors for the boy. Therefore, in accordance with letters No. 500 dated September 24, 2025, and No. 137 dated April 6, 2026, we received 10,894.00 UAH (ten thousand eight hundred ninety-four hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 8,210.00 UAH (eight thousand two hundred ten hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraiser on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In 2025, we supported Sviatoslav by purchasing some Freestyle Libre 2 sensors for him, totaling 10,894.00 UAH (ten thousand eight hundred ninety-four hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in April 2026, we purchased sensors worth 8,210.00 UAH (eight thousand two hundred ten hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      The initial project goal was 57,204.00 UAH (fifty-seven thousand two hundred four hryvnias, 00 kopecks). Once the full amount needed to cover Svyatoslav’s treatment had been raised on two fundraising platforms—the Charitable Organization “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” and the “Pomahayem” Charitable Foundation— we requested that the fundraising campaign be closed, that the project amount on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange be reduced to the actual amount raised—55,204.00 UAH (fifty-five thousand two hundred four hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and to transfer 36,100.00 UAH (thirty-six thousand one hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to our bank account to cover Svyatoslav’s medical treatment and project administration, in accordance with Letter No. 227 dated June 1, 2026.
      Thanks to the funds received in June of this year, we provided the boy with devices for continuous blood sugar monitoring—Freestyle Libre 2—for a total of 33,339.80 UAH (thirty-three thousand three hundred thirty-nine hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and also covered the project administration costs. 
      At the end of the school year, Sviatoslav took diagnostic tests in various school subjects and, at the same time, prepared for his guitar exam. In April 2026, he had an insulin pump implanted at the OKHMATDIT Hospital, and he is now trying to get used to it. It’s a long and difficult process, but in the future, the sensors and the pump should help him better control his blood sugar levels. 
      During summer break, Sviatoslav enjoys spending time playing with friends, kicking a soccer ball around, and riding his scooter. He really wants to go to the seaside, but because of the unstable situation in the country, his mother is wary of long-distance travel. So for now, they’re staying close to home, hoping for a swift victory.
      At this time, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the boy’s needs.
