Little Vania has been treated at the National Cancer Institute since last year. The boy has undergone long-term treatment with chemotherapy drugs but without MIBG scanning the doctors could not decide on the possibility of surgical removal of the tumor. In September Vania received the necessary examination in Italy thanks to the funds raised on UBB. It turned out that the tumor was operable and the treatment continued. According to the protocol, after surgery and radiotherapy, one more MIBG scanning must be performed. Again the Italian Clinic is ready to accept the kid but the family has to pay 522 euros which they don’t have. We can help Vania to receive good news and to get back to normal childhood without the disease!

Vania was born prematurely and remained under the doctors’ supervision. One of the tests revealed a tumor. The diagnosis of neuroblastoma was quickly made and they began treatment at the Cancer Institute. Unfortunately, the location of the tumor is specific and the doctors couldn’t radically remove it without MIBG scanning which is not performed in Ukraine. Now it is necessary to perform this examination again to make sure that the treatment was effective. Vania’s parents are accustomed to relying on themselves but a long period of treatment exhausted them completely, both morally and financially. Without our support, they cannot cope.
