On April 7, 2020, the project "It is possible to reduce child mortality" was launched on the UBB ICF website. The purpose of the project is to purchase consumables (reagent blocks, Custadiol solution) for full-fledged neonatal resuscitation, general resuscitation and cardiac surgery resuscitation, which are part of the clinical laboratory OODKL (Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital). The reagent unit is used to perform a study of the acid-base balance of the blood, as well as the gas composition of the blood in a child during various manipulations. Kustaliol solution is used during open heart surgery. It saturates the cells with nutrients and allows for some time to stop blood circulation without significant damage to heart tissue.
