Art healing for children from crisis families

Children from crisis, large, single-parent, low-income families, who also live in remote villages, have very little chance, compared to children from prosperous families, to develop all the abilities and talents that are embedded in each of them. from birth, and which should only be paid attention to, noticed and developed. This will provide such children with a normal childhood, no worse than that of their peers, and will give a reliable start for the rest of their lives. Because all of us, adults, understand: what is laid down in the first years of life, what a child sees around him, how he is treated, what he feels – all this will determine the fate of today's little man and his future choice: to live like his parents and the immediate environment or choose a healthy, good path, with confidence in yourself and your own strength, that you deserve the best and are able to achieve something in life, you have the right and strength to do so!

Every day, the foundation's employees and volunteers have to see sad pictures of how children growing up in destructive, inferior or simply impoverished families do not have access and opportunities to develop, feel accepted and acknowledged that they are worthy of love, warmth, that they are needed. , that they are paid attention to and someone develops their abilities… And if in big cities there is still an opportunity for such children to attend some developmental, art classes, clubs at school or elsewhere, then in tiny towns and villages it is almost impossible.

Parents of such children are often not even very concerned about whether the child goes to school and whether he is dressed, not to mention the development of his abilities and talents… And this is not always because parents do not love their children, it is often because of extreme poverty , when adults are busy earning money for child support around the clock or suffer from physical or mental disorders or addictions and because of this are not able to fully care for children, who often grow three, four or more in one family в Often in such families there is only one a mother who barely makes ends meet to feed her children, or parents are disabled… In general, there are many reasons and circumstances, but children raised in such families are no worse than others but, unfortunately, are deprived of most of the joys of a carefree childhood and developmental opportunities.

Our charitable foundation has been caring for children from such families for many years, including organizing choreography and theater classes for them, which also, in addition to children's development, has a healing effect on the traumatized psyche of these children, allowing them to feel needed and loved.

In order to continue such activities to support and develop children and adolescents from crisis families, we need funds in the amount of 45,000 UAH to pay for the work of professional teachers of folk choreography and theater, who will work with our wards for five months, and will transfer knowledge and appropriate training for classes with children to our volunteers.

Such classes will undoubtedly give the best start and a fundamentally different quality of life for children and adolescents from families in difficult life circumstances. Each of us can help them in different ways to have a better childhood and future today: someone - giving a piece of their time or skills, or warmth of heart, someone - practically teaching, someone – supporting those who teach and pass on what they know and is able.
