Hospitals are overcrowded. We need to help people breathe at home. One unit provides breathing for 5-10 COVID patients in winter time and even for more people later on. An oxygen concentrator is a lifeline for people who have shortness of breath, but cannot be admitted (hospitals won't take them in, "no free beds"). It's a lifeline for patients discharged from hospitals with negative coronavirus test results (formally, healthy) and persisting shortness of breath since it lasts longer and the lungs recover slowly. The vast majority of people can't buy an oxygen concentrator on their own. Firstly, the units are very expensive. Secondly, they are simply not on sale. It's a great luck for the Foundation to at least be able to sign up for the waiting list and place orders with the vendors. We have to wait. Some require 100% prepayment now and promise delivery in a month or two, others require at least partial advance payment. For the units to be delivered in December, the Foundation needs funds right now. I am currently raising funds for advance payment for a concentrator to be delivered to the Foundation in December. Payment is due this week, so we have very little time left. Please remember that every unit helps scores of people to breathe. Make your own contribution.
