Kids in a hurry have special needs in terms of care, nutrition and development and require additional attention. We strive to support all preterm babies and their parents, provide all the necessary information about the existence of this problem in society and help them. For the second year in a row, we are organising a month of support for premature babies and their parents. During this November, we will not only share useful information on our social networks, but will also join the fundraising for the needs of premature babies with a donation of UAH 200,000 from the Nutrilon brand.

This year, the partners of the charity initiative are the dobro.ua charity platform, Svichado Charitable Foundation, and St. Nicholas Hospital based at the First Medical Association of Lviv.

The goal of the project is to purchase medical equipment to save little lives and join the world in celebrating the International Day of Preterm Infants.

Premature babies need specialised medical care to survive and develop. The lack of the necessary equipment can complicate the treatment process and increase the risks to their health. Therefore, as part of the project, an investment from the Nutrilon brand will purchase a phototherapy lamp and two infusion machines.

Phototherapy lamps are used to treat jaundice in newborns, which is quite common among preterm infants. Jaundice is caused by elevated levels of bilirubin in the blood, which can be dangerous for babies. Phototherapy helps to break down bilirubin in the skin, which facilitates its excretion from the body through the liver. This equipment helps prevent serious complications, such as brain damage, and significantly increases the chances of a successful recovery.

An infusion pump is a device used to precisely dose fluids, medicines and nutrients that are administered intravenously. Preterm infants, especially those weighing less than 1 kg, require careful monitoring of nutrients and medications. The infusion machine ensures accurate and safe administration of vital components, which is critical for the growth and stabilisation of young patients. It minimises the risk of overdosing or under-dosing, which is extremely important for their health.

These devices play a key role in saving the lives of preterm infants and significantly improve the quality of medical care they receive.

Last year alone, the number of babies treated at St. Nicholas Hospital reached almost a hundred. The smallest baby girl was born weighing 600 grams!

In order to provide the hospital with even more medical equipment that will significantly improve the quality of medical care, we are announcing a fundraiser as part of this project

we will draw a Bluetti AC70P/1000W charging station among everyone who donates UAH 100 or more.

To participate in the initiative, you need to
- donate from UAH 100
- provide a valid email address where you can be contacted in case of winning.
The campaign lasts from 6.11 to 30.11. The drawing will take place on 31.11 at 12:00.
