19-year-old Mykola has spent his entire life fighting brutal hardships: first epilepsy, constant pain, and hundreds of seizures every day, then cerebral palsy, and later scoliosis due to a gap in his rehabilitation.

Mykola's life story began in intensive care on a ventilator. Afterward, the boy was placed in a pathology ward and fed through a tube. When Kolia turned one month old, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, which caused the infant to experience up to 100 seizure episodes every day. At age 2, cerebral palsy was added to this, and at 18 – scoliosis and increased spasticity. But through perseverance and a desire to be independent, Mykola learned to sit, walk, and even respond with "yes" or "no."

Systematic rehabilitation significantly improves the young man's condition, which is why specialists advise against missing visits to specialized centers. Indeed, after his most recent rehabilitation course, Mykola's muscle tone decreased, his posture and balance improved, he became more resilient, and – very importantly – his scoliosis is not progressing. He has also developed a better sense of his own body. However, stopping now is not an option.

"Many people say that adults don't need rehabilitation, but that's not true. For our children, it is life itself and the ability to move without pain. Because when rehabilitation is ongoing, results follow. I can see this in my son Mykola. My heartfelt gratitude as a mother goes to everyone who believes in and supports our children," says Kolia's mother, asking people to support her son.

Together, we can free Mykola from the chains that bind his body. Join our project!
