Charity race #Neterplyachki 2 km

We are RUN UKRAINE and our life is a constant movement. As a part of Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2016 we have conducted a charitable race #Neterplyachki (the Impatient) on the 17th of April. This is a symbolic race 2 km. long, due to which everyone could join and contribute, because the funds collected from this charity race are to purchase a stand-alone Resuscitator for premature babies in Perinatal center of Kyiv city hospital №7.

Human life begins with the first breath. It is a starting point of a great journey called LIFE. But there are those who need help to make that first, most important step. They are called different names: the Impatient's, preemies, prematurely born babies.

Coming to this world earlier than 32nd week, these tinies not always can make their first breath by themselves. They require timely conduct secure primary resuscitation, which requires a special tool - the neonatal resuscitator. This resuscitator allows to create precisely controlled positive inspiratory pressure (straightening the lungs) and expiratory pressure (does not allow light completely stick together), prevents lung injury (their break). The use of this special resuscitator allows to breathe without a tracheal intubation, reducing the need for the introduction of surfactant medicine and holding of the traditional mechanical ventilation through an endotracheal tube, reduces the duration of oxygen dependence and treatment of children in intensive care units. Due to these effects, we can reduce the risk of infection and the severity of pain for children, they may be transferred to the department of rooming with mothers much sooner and then sooner discharged home, where they have been long awaited by the whole family.
