Fighting for Bohdanka’s childhood

On February 27, 2026, the project “Bogdanochka: The Fight for Childhood” was posted on the dobro.ua platform of the International Charitable Foundation “UBB,” with a total goal of 173,500.00 UAH for the treatment of Bohdana Kovalik at the LOR Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine, a public non-profit enterprise under the Western Ukrainian Specialized Center. On April 29, 2026, fundraising for the project was suspended and the amount was reduced to 30,797.00 UAH, as funds from other sources of financing were secured to implement the project. Supplies were purchased in the amount of 173,500.00 UAH, including funds from the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “UBB” in the amount of 30,797.00 UAH. The goal of the project was to raise funds for a girl with a complex diagnosis—“Recovery period of severe hypoxic-ischemic damage to the central nervous system. Internal progressive critical decompensated hydrocephalus, condition following ventriculitis and repeated external drainage. Tetraparesis. Developmental delay.” This condition posed a direct threat to the child’s life and required surgical intervention on the brain. To save Bohdan, on May 5, 2026, doctors performed a complex neurosurgical procedure. The child is currently recovering from the surgery.
