Do you know that we hear from the parents of children with cerebral palsy, who moved from the Donetsk region to the Dnieper? "It's a pity that you do not have a good rehabilitation center"... Indeed, in Kiev, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odessa there is, in Donetsk, too, but in the Dnipro there. For many years, parents and volunteers dream of quality and affordable rehabilitation in the Dnipro. Now the fulfillment of the dream is more than ever: for the means of indifferent people, such a center is being built in Pidgorodnyi! Only here are funds for construction work, but there is no equipment. We are looking for good wizards who will help us to buy the first equipment for the Center – a balneological bath.

This wonderful thing will allow us to carry out the following procedures for children with cerebral palsy: underwater shower-massage of high pressure, underwater vacuum massage, oxygen, and pearl bath. The peculiarity of the underwater hydromassage is that it has a strong and at the same time a soft effect on the muscles. The staff of the Odessa "House with an angel" told us that on a day when the child undergoes hydromassage in such a bath, the usual message is not done to him – the effect of water is strong enough. Water temperature of 36-37 degrees reduces muscle spasm, reduces hyperkinesis, has a relaxing and calming effect.

The exclusive option of the bath that we chose (Aquilon) is an underwater vacuum massage. The principle of its action is similar to the hardware vacuum massage, but the effectiveness is enhanced by the temperature and mechanical effects of water. At the same time, underwater vacuum massage does not cause pain and spots. Oxygen and pearl baths are shown to children with different forms of cerebral palsy. They normalize reduce the increased excitability of the central nervous system, positively affect the metabolic processes, cerebral and central blood circulation, improve blood supply to the brain and spinal cord and muscles.

It is known that balneological procedures are actively used in the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy abroad, in particular, in Germany. In Ukraine, baths with such functions are available only in a few rehabilitation centers. It is very important for us that children with diseases of the CNS from our region could undergo a full-fledged recovery course. The choice of equipment and methods of rehabilitation is very carefully – we want to make quality rehabilitation available in the Dnieper. Without you, we can not cope. Please support our collection with help!
