Seven-year-old Kirill is an energetic and active child who loves to ride his bike and play soccer with his older brother. But nine months ago, something happened that no one in the family could have predicted – the boy was diagnosed with type I diabetes, insulin-dependent.
The diagnosis divided his life into two parts: a joyful “before” and a terrible “after”. But gradually Kirill and his family began to adapt to all the changes. Constant monitoring, sugar measurements both day and night, often low blood sugar, hypoglycemia. The boy now eats a strict diet. Thanks to the care of his older brother, Kirill has the opportunity to go to school: he helps him measure sugar and inject insulin.
But the family needs help. Diabetes is not only a life-threatening disease, but also extremely costly. And in terms of finances, the family from a small town in Cherkasy region is in a very precarious position: the mother works as a cleaner in the office while the father takes care of the children. The boy needs glucose monitoring sensors. Help this friendly family to overcome all the hardships!
