Ania is only 3 years old, but she has been living with type 1 diabetes for over a year. This active and cheerful girl loves princesses, soft toys, and building with construction sets. She really enjoys going for walks and attending children's performances at the theater. But diabetes has made some changes to her little life.
Health comes first. Every day, we have to try to compensate for sugar levels so that the child does not suffer negative consequences in the future. So, daily glucose measurements, adherence to breaks, constant monitoring, and pain destroy a child's world, childhood dreams, and disrupt games and a carefree childhood.
Thanks to modern monitoring, it is possible to make life much easier, compensate for the condition, and reduce the number of finger pricks for the child. Now the girl uses an insulin pump, which is a significant relief because she hates insulin injections. Despite everything, she needs consumables for the pump and glucose monitoring sensors every month. This family also has an older sister who also has diabetes. The parents do not have permanent jobs because they have to cope with two sick children and watch over them around the clock.
Ania and her family will be very grateful for any help and for the purchase of glucose monitoring sensors, as this will make their children's lives easier.
