To school with my sister by the hand!

You can hardly find someone who would doubt if the birth of the twins is incredible happiness! A boy and a girl – is a so desirable and long-awaited gift! The Babich family has waited for this gift for almost 18 years! And a miracle happened! And it does not matter that the family had to leave their home in Stakhanov, the Luhansk Oblast. They found shelter in Zaporizhzhia and the young family was given accommodation. Vanechka and Polinka were born here, in Zaporizhzhia. Unfortunately, Vania has to struggle for living a full life since his birth.

He spent his first days of life in intensive care, then he had to undergo a countless number of physical exercises, massages and his parents believed that their son would catch up with his sister. And then – one more challenge and a new diagnosis: stage 4 sensorineural hearing loss. The child cannot hear anything! Desperation again! Thanks to the project "Help to heard mother’s voice!", which was placed on the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, thousands of concerned people were able to help the Babich family. During the project, the boy underwent a cochlear operation at public expense. This helped the boy to finally hear the sounds of the world and his mother’s voice.

And the funds raised helped Vanechka undergo five rehabilitation courses at the Tomatis Ukraine rehabilitation center in 2017-2018. For today the use of the Tomatis center rehabilitation methods, based on Dr. Sandakov’s techniques, and massages have a positive effect on the child’s physical condition. Vania can sit, crawl and walk on his knees. Rehabilitation has to continue at the Tomatis Ukraine center in 2019. He has to visit the center in March and June. In addition to the old rehabilitation procedures, more attention will be paid to the new one – Sound Sory, which stimulates the motor and language development. The cost of one course is 29, 195 UAH The boy’s father is the only earner in this family, so the family desperately needs your support.

Despite the challenges they had to face with, the Babich family think they are very lucky. God was merciful to them and gave them two wonderful children! Good people supported their son and added faith in Vania’s full childhood. And now parents believe in being lucky to get help again. Those, who believe in the good and are not afraid of challenges, deserve the award – happy eyes of the children!
