Help for little Veronika

Veronika is 4 years old. She is a very active, cheerful and cheerful girl. And for 9 months now she has been suffering from an incurable disease – insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Veronika was diagnosed in July 2024. The girl was hospitalized in a serious condition. In the early days, all the doctors' attention was focused on saving Veronika's life. After three days in the intensive care unit under drips, the girl revived. And the doctors gave her mother a syringe and began to teach her how to give injections. I didn't want to believe that this syringe would be with Veronika forever, and that her mother would have to personally hurt her child several times a day.

With the onset of diabetes, the family's life became much more difficult. Expenses increased, worries and anxieties were added. The mother began to sleep less and become more nervous. Each of her daughter's sugar spikes is stressful for the family. Mom is still learning how to compensate for the disease, which is a very complicated equation with many variables. Veronika's sugar levels can change due to the weather, mood, emotions, not to mention food. Diabetes is a very insidious and serious disease, the child seems to have no pain, but if you do not control the sugars, the consequences will be severe. The disease causes complications to the kidneys, eyesight, blood vessels, and lower limbs.

Veronika is a very active girl. She likes to play in the sandbox, jump on a trampoline, and build construction sets. The family lives in the village, and the girl spends most of her time outside and tries to help her mother with the housework. Only the man works in the family, but there is no work for him in the village, so he has to go to work in Rivne. Veronika misses her father and looks forward to the weekend when he comes home. Living with diabetes requires a lot of money. Her husband's earnings are not enough to buy all the necessary medicines, including glucose meters.
