Help for Matvii. 2

Matvii from Lviv has been living with type 1 diabetes for four years. This diagnosis completely changed his family's life. His parents got used to daily blood sugar measurements, insulin injections, and special diets. But it is impossible to get used to the constant fear for your child. The hardest part is nighttime hypoglycemia, when you wake up in fear and check to see if your child is breathing.

The first symptoms of the disease were attributed to fatigue or a virus. Matviy began to drink a lot, often ran to the toilet, and lost weight before our eyes. One day, he simply lost his strength. Matvii was taken to the hospital, where doctors reported that the child's blood glucose level was over 27 mmol. The diagnosis sounded like a death sentence.

Now Matvii feels more or less well. His blood sugar levels fluctuate, and his mother is in constant contact with a doctor who helps stabilize them. But it doesn't always work. That's why the boy needs sensors for continuous blood glucose monitoring.

Matvii is a real hero. He has learned to live with diabetes and proves that the disease will not take away his childhood. The boy loves sports, dreams of becoming a footballer, and believes that even with diabetes, you can live an active and fulfilling life. Together with his younger brother, they build with construction sets, play with toy cars, and invent various games for themselves. Matvii also has a loyal friend in the village – his dog Badi. The boy has learned to live by the rules dictated by diabetes. But despite everything, he remains cheerful, dreams, and believes that one day science will give children with diabetes a chance for a full recovery.
