Two years ago, Christina showed the first signs of a serious illness. The girl developed tremors in her legs, and her muscles began to weaken. The worried mother took Christina for examinations, MRI, and ultrasound of the vessels. Christina was seen by a neurologist. In the fall, Christina fell ill with acute respiratory viral infections and right-sided pneumonia, after which her health began to deteriorate rapidly every day. The legs practically stopped working, there were headaches, sudden changes in mood, nausea. The girl was rapidly losing weight. The disease began to progress by leaps and bounds. Everything turned out to be very difficult. Already in December, MRI of the head with contrast showed that lesions were developing in the brain. Since then, Christina has been fighting an incessant struggle for her life.

Now all the forces of doctors are directed to stop the process of the development of the disease. Christina underwent three plasmapheresis procedures. Now she needs to take a course of immunoglobulin. The Yakovlev family is no longer able to buy this expensive medicine, since the entire financial reserve has already been spent on numerous MRI scans, tests, ultrasounds and doctors' consultations. Kristina needs help with purchasing immunoglobulin.

Despite a complex illness that takes away all the strength of an eighteen-year-old girl, Christina is very purposeful and positive. She is optimistic, strong in spirit and full of confidence in a favorable outcome of treatment. The girl is a full-time college student, 3rd year, Faculty of Transport Technologies. In September 2021, she still independently attended an educational institution. At the moment, Christina was forced to write an application and take an academic leave for a year. She believes that during this time she will overcome the disease and be able to complete her studies.

In college, the girl led an active social life. She took part in concerts, Olympiads, played volleyball. The disease knocked her down so quickly that the consciousness was not yet able to match the girl’s usual lifestyle with the lack of physical capabilities. Adapting to the current state is very difficult for her. Having enlisted the moral support of classmates, friends and close people, Krstina is looking forward to being given a course of immunoglobulin. After this course, the girl should get rid of denervation edema of the legs, the process of developing foci of brain lesions will stop and this will allow her to gradually restore muscle work with the help of massage and physiotherapy exercises.
