Let's help Maksym gain sight

Maksym was born and raised in the Zvenygorodka town in Cherkasy region. In childhood, the boy was doing well with his health, he was ill infrequently. The only thing that worries the young man is vision problems.

Immediately after birth, in one of Maksym's eyes, doctors discovered Peters' anomaly (this is a congenital pathology of the cornea and anterior segment of the eye). And for a year and a half, therefore, a piece of glass fell into the other – a healthy eye. The guy's vision began to deteriorate, and six months ago he was examined and found cataracts in both eyes. Maksy's eyes are bad. In bright sunlight, his eyes darken, the guy does not study very well at school: it is hard for him, he sees poorly, and therefore there is no interest in studying. Most of all, Maksym likes sports – boxing, football, athletics, but he cannot do it to the fullest or attend sports sections due to poor eyesight.

The situation can be corrected by operations to replace the lenses of both eyes. First, doctors plan to perform surgery on one eye, and later on the other. However, the family does not have the funds to purchase everything necessary for their implementation. Therefore, at dobro.ua we are starting to raise funds for the first operation to replace the lens on the Maksym's eye.

Maksym has few friends, he is a reserved and self-contained guy. He has a brother who is his friend too and sister, but she lives separately. Maksym's dad works as a fireman in a kindergarten, and mom sells tea and coffee at the market. The family's income is small, it is barely enough to live on. They are not able to pay for the materials necessary for the operation. They have nowhere to wait for financial support, so Maksym pins all his hopes on benefactors.
